What strategy should Al Moutmir, a Moroccan outreach initiative in the field of scientific and sustainable agriculture, implement to expand their reach to famers in Morocco and beyond, while simultaneously reducing their financial reliance on their primary sponsor, OCP?
In 2018, the Al Moutmir initiative was launched to empower rural farmers to increase productivity and economic well-being without endangering natural resources. The initiative has seen tangible improvements in tilling, water supplies, and fertilization through one-on-one support from agronomists and access to digital resource platforms. Now, Jamila Adani, Head of Farmer Centricity, and Nawfel Roudies, Head of the Business Unit, at Al Moutmir, envision growing the reach of this initiative to not only the majority of farmers in Morocco, but around the world. In this case, students learn about the benefits of smart farming in rural communities; and discuss what business strategy Al Moutmir should consider to grow their reach and become more financially independent.
