In 2023, Cathryn Mattson was named the Interim Executive Director and CEO of the Orlando Museum of Art. She joined the Museum at a challenging time as they were in a very public and contentious legal battle with a former employee. The aftermath was a financial and public relations nightmare. In this case, students learn about the scandal at the Orlando Museum of Art, a not-for-profit entity, and discuss how Mattson can implement new policies, guidelines, and regulations to restore the museum’s reputation and community value.
