How should a leading wealth management firm incorporate generative artificial intelligence into its workplace?
When Morgan Stanley launched the new role head of firmwide artificial intelligence in 2024, it was making a strategic bet on the expected unprecedented impact of generative AI on the global wealth management industry as well as MS’s position among its peers. In this case study, students will learn about the evolution of the wealth management industry, its expected growth trajectory, and how automation has transformed the interplay between humans and digital advisory tools. Students will be asked to step into a leadership role in the implementation of AI and determine how best to use new technologies to amplify human potential.
