Brian Snyder, a Columbia alum and General Motors kid, is the vice president for strategic planning at GM. He has to decide whether the oldest assembly plant at GM—the Janesville Plant—should be closed or not. What should he decide and how does he convince the leadership of GM to take his recommendation given his position and relationships, the organizational culture, and the recent financial pressures?
