Started in 2021 by Raghav Mecheri and James Bollas, the company uses artificial intelligence to create visibility in the recycling supply chain. This case gives students an overview of the recycling and waste management industry, the global and geopolitical forces that drive its evolution and historical and new technologies that are changing the landscape. In addition, students will gain an understanding of how artificial intelligence and computer modeling can be used to turn a tedious, human-intensive task like sorting recyclables from trash into something that can be automated and less prone to error.
